The Problem

We’ve all been there – you’re feeling good, but then you look down and see some soft stubble in a few days after your waxing session. Body hair can cause social and personal discomfort, skin irritation, and hygiene issues. Traditional hair removal methods such as shaving, waxing, and tweezing can be painful, time-consuming, and have their own set of disadvantages. Additionally, traditional hair removal methods offer only temporary solutions, with hair regrowing quickly and requiring regular maintenance.

Types of Body Hair

There are several types of body hair that can grow on different areas of the body, and they can vary in texture, length, and thickness. Here are some of the most common types of body hair:

Vellus hair

This is fine, short, and light-coloured hair that covers most of the body, including the face, arms, and legs.

Terminal hair

This is thick, long, and pigmented hair that grows on the scalp, underarms, pubic area, and face (in men).

Androgenic hair

This is thicker, coarser, and darker hair that grows in response to male hormones (androgens), and it typically grows on the face, chest, and back in men.

Lanugo hair

This is very fine and soft hair that covers a developing foetus in the womb, but it typically falls off before birth.

Overall, the type of body hair that grows on an individual can vary based on factors such as genetics, age, and hormone levels.

Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is a procedure that uses laser technology to remove unwanted body hair. It's like magic, but with science instead of a wand. You know that annoying hair that keeps growing back no matter how many times you shave or wax it? Laser Hair Removal works by targeting the hair follicles with high-intensity laser beams, which heat up and destroy the follicles, thus preventing hair growth. Laser hair removal is a popular option for those who want a more long-lasting solution to unwanted hair, as it typically requires a series of sessions to achieve permanent hair reduction. And the best part? No more shaving every day or suffering through painful waxing sessions. It's like a dream come true for anyone who wants to be hair-free without all the hassle. And let's face it, who wants to deal with razor burn or ingrown hairs? No one, that's for sure. So, if you're tired of all that hair, laser hair removal might just be the answer to your prayers.
The procedure is relatively painless, can be performed on most areas of the body, including the legs, arms, underarms, bikini area, and face and is generally considered safe and effective when performed by a qualified professional. Book your FREE consultation and patch test now!

Electrolysis

Sometimes due to age or hormonal factors you may start getting a couple of grey hair on your face or hands or any other body part. While laser hair removal is the preferred method for permanent hair reduction, it does not work on grey hair. Electrolysis is one of the only treatments that can work to permanently reduce growth of grey hair.
The process works with an epilator device and releases shortwave radio frequencies in hair follicles to stop new hair from growing. This damages your hair follicles to prevent growth and causes existing hairs to fall out.
During the electrolysis treatment, a very fine needle is inserted into each hair follicle. Then, a small electric current is applied, which destroys the follicle and prevents it from growing new hair. The process is repeated for each individual hair follicle.
Electrolysis can be used to remove hair from almost any part of the body, including the face, arms, legs, and bikini area. It can also be used to treat ingrown hairs.
While electrolysis is generally considered safe, it can be uncomfortable and may cause some skin irritation. It can also be time-consuming, as each hair follicle must be treated individually. Multiple sessions are typically required to achieve the desired results, as hair growth occurs in cycles and not all hair follicles are active at the same time.

Eyebrow Shaping

Laser hair removal is a popular method for achieving long-term hair reduction or removal. While it is commonly used for larger areas of the body, such as the legs or back, it can also be used for more precise areas like the eyebrows.
Laser hair removal works by using concentrated light energy to target the pigment in the hair follicles. The heat generated by the laser damages the follicles, inhibiting future hair growth. However, it's important to note that laser hair removal is most effective on dark, coarse hair, as the laser targets the melanin.
When it comes to eyebrow shaping, laser hair removal can be used to achieve a clean and defined eyebrow line. Here's how the process works:
Consultation: Start by consulting with a trained professional or a licensed dermatologist who specializes in laser hair removal. They will evaluate your skin and hair type, discuss your goals, and determine if you are a suitable candidate for the treatment.
Preparation: Before the procedure, it's important to avoid plucking, waxing, or threading the eyebrows for a few weeks. This allows the hair to be present for the laser to effectively target the follicles.
Protection: The technician will provide you with protective goggles to shield your eyes from the laser. They may also apply a cooling gel or numbing cream to minimize discomfort during the procedure.
Laser treatment: The technician will use a handheld laser device to target the unwanted hair in the eyebrow area. The laser emits a pulsating beam of light that selectively heats the hair follicles, damaging them and inhibiting future growth. The procedure itself may cause a slight tingling or snapping sensation, but it is generally well-tolerated.
Post-treatment care: After the procedure, you may experience some redness or mild swelling in the treated area. This typically subsides within a few hours. The technician may recommend using a soothing cream or cold compresses to alleviate any discomfort. It's important to follow their instructions for aftercare, which may include avoiding sun exposure, using sunscreen, and avoiding harsh skincare products for a few days.
Multiple sessions: Achieving optimal results typically requires multiple laser hair removal sessions spaced several weeks apart. This is because hair grows in cycles, and the treatment is most effective during the active growth phase. The exact number of sessions needed varies depending on factors such as hair thickness, hair color, and individual response to the treatment.
It's worth noting that laser hair removal is not always 100% permanent. Some hair follicles may become dormant rather than being completely destroyed, which can lead to some hair regrowth over time. However, the regrowth is usually finer and lighter than before.
Before undergoing any cosmetic procedure, including laser hair removal, it's essential to consult with a qualified professional who can assess your individual needs and determine the best course of action for you.
