The Problem

Planning a wedding is an exciting time, and taking care of your skin is an important part of preparing for your special day. To achieve a radiant and glowing complexion, it’s essential to follow a skincare timeline. Starting several months in advance, you can establish a consistent skincare routine, address specific concerns, and consider professional treatments. Whether you’re the bride, groom, or a family member, this guide will provide you with a general roadmap to help you achieve healthy and luminous skin on the wedding day. So, let’s dive in and discover the skincare timelines that will have you looking your absolute best as you celebrate this joyous occasion!

The skin prep time for a wedding couple and their family will depend on their individual needs and the complexity of their skin care routine. However, a general guideline would be to start the skin prep process about 3-6 months before the wedding day. This will allow time for the couple to establish a daily skincare routine, get any necessary treatments and address any specific skin concerns they may have such as acne or pigmentation.
Treatment No. Of Sessions Interval Between Sessions Overall Duration
Laser Hair Removal 7 1 Month 7 to 9 Months
Acne & Acne Scars Treatment 3-6 1 Month 3 to 6 Months
Pigmentation 3-6 1 Month 3 to 6 Months
Injectables 1 2 Months Before Wedding
Anti-Ageing 3-6 1 Month 3 to 6 Months
It’s important to note that everyone’s skin is different, so it’s essential to work with a professional skincare expert to develop a customized skin care plan that addresses the individual needs of the wedding couple and their families.
6 months away from the wedding is an excellent time to start taking care of yourself, especially for those improvements that may take a few months to show results. Here are some steps you can take to start your wedding beauty regimen:
  1. Develop a Skincare Routine – Start with a basic skincare routine that includes cleansing, toning, and moisturizing twice a day. Use products that are appropriate for your skin type and concerns. You can also add serums or treatments to address specific issues such as hyperpigmentation or acne.
  2. Get Rid of Unwanted Hair – Laser hair removal is a popular option for getting rid of unwanted hair before the wedding day. Laser hair removal works by targeting the hair follicles with a concentrated beam of light, which destroys the follicles and prevents hair from growing back. It is recommended to start laser hair removal treatments about 6-7 months before the wedding day. This is because hair grows in cycles, and multiple treatments are necessary to target hair in different stages of growth. Generally, 6-8 treatments are needed to see complete results.
  3. Hydrate – Drinking plenty of water is crucial for healthy skin, hair, and nails. Aim for sufficient amount of water in a day to keep your body hydrated and skin glowing.
  4. Exercise – Regular exercise is not only great for your physical health but also helps reduce stress and improves your mood. Find an exercise routine that you enjoy, whether it’s yoga, running, or weightlifting, and stick to it.
  5. Healthy Diet – A healthy diet can make a big difference in how you look and feel. Incorporate plenty of fruits, vegetables, lean protein, and whole grains into your meals.
  6. Go for Aesthetic Aid – There are various non-surgical treatments available to help reduce acne and other scars, even out your skin tone, permanently reduce unwanted hair, revive thinning eyebrows, non-surgically tighten your face and neck, sculpt your body, reduce lines and wrinkles, accentuate your chin, and more. These treatments can help you look and feel your best on your wedding day.
  7. Get Yourself Tested – It is important to prioritize your health leading up to your wedding day. Getting a blood test done is a great way to assess your overall health and identify any potential issues that need to be addressed. Low levels of haemoglobin and platelets can have various causes, including poor nutrition, certain medical conditions, and excessive stress that can have a negative impact on your wedding day.
  8. Sun Protection – Sun protection is important not just for avoiding uneven pigmentation but also for preventing premature ageing and skin damage. It’s important to use preventive measures to protect your skin from the harmful effects of the sun, when nearing your wedding day.
  9. Antioxidants – antioxidants are important for maintaining healthy skin and a glowing complexion. Antioxidants help protect your skin from damage caused by free radicals, which are molecules that can cause cellular damage and premature ageing. Some of the most important antioxidants for skin health include beta-carotene, vitamin C, and vitamin E. These antioxidants can be found in a variety of foods, such as fruits and vegetables, and can also be taken as supplements.
  10. Facials – While facials can be a great way to pamper yourself and give your skin a boost, it’s important to choose the right kind of facial for your skin type and concerns. The AgeLess Stem Cell Facial™ and Mesotherapy are both advanced facial treatments that involve injecting nutrients into the skin to stimulate collagen production and improve skin texture and tone.
  11. Body Peels – Body peels can be a great way to improve the appearance and texture of your skin on the body. These treatments involve applying a chemical solution to the skin that exfoliates and removes dead skin cells, revealing smoother, brighter skin underneath. Body peels can be especially helpful for addressing skin concerns such as hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, and texture issues.
  12. Vitamins – Vitamins are essential micronutrients required in small quantities for proper growth and development of the body. They are crucial for maintaining overall health, and each vitamin has a specific role to play in the body. Hence, if you haven’t started yet, then it’s high time to do so. AgeLess IV infusions would be preferable at this point for quicker and better results.
  13. Hair Care – Start taking care of your hair by using products that are appropriate for your hair type and concerns. You can also consider getting a trim or a spa treatment to keep your hair healthy and shiny.
  14. Sleep – Getting enough sleep is essential for your overall health and well-being. Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep per night to allow your body to rest and repair.
  1. Follow Your Routine – This is not the time to try anything new, so follow your skin care routine. By now you should have all your essentials handy. A few products that a bride should always keep handy are –cleanser, toner and moisturizer based on your skin type (e.g., those with oily acne prone skin should have a cleanser containing salicylic acid), sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher, good quality makeup remover, tea tree oil for acne, and hyaluronic acid for nourishment.
  2. Do Not Experiment – As you get close to your wedding remember not to experiment with new products or treatments, especially when you only have a few days to go. Doing a trial run with your make-up artist well in advance with the actual products they intend to use is a must. Try and eat at regular hours and keep yourself well hydrated. Stick with your well-planned skin care regime.
  3. Clear Your Skin – This is the perfect time to go for a good clean up! Get those white and black heads extracted or go for microdermabrasion if required. This is also a good time to go for your 2nd session of brightening laser to even out any pigmentation and brighten your skin tone.
  1. Acne Damage Control – If you do have break outs at this point, it’s better to get injected instead of using topical drying agents. See your skin expert as soon as break outs start appearing.
  2. Relaxation and Exercise – At this time, you have too much going on already so do not try new stuff. Just relax, eat well and exercise regularly.
  3. Pamper Yourself – Go to the Spa and indulge in some ‘you’ time. Get a massage so that you and your body can feel calm and relaxed.
  4. Final Instant Treatments – If you need any treatments for instant lifting and firming, this is the ideal time to get them done. This way you’ll be in the desired shape by the time of your wedding and all signs of the treatment procedure would have subsided.
  5. Final Prep – This is the final prep before the celebrations begin! Get your waxing and eyebrows done. A lot of times brides wax their backs for the first time and have a wax rash. If you have never waxed your back before it is best to opt for bleach at this point of time. This is also a good time to go for body polishing and make sure the rest of your body is as radiant as your face.
  6. Pre-Wedding Facial – This should be the facial you have tried and tested and know for a fact that it works like magic for your skin. We personally recommend not to trust salons this close to your big day, go to an aesthetic clinic to make sure it’s done right.

  1. Acne – This is a time most brides start to develop zits due to the stress and make up. Follow your routine and do not pop the zit as it may cause infection. You can either go to your skin expert and get it extracted or else apply clindamycin or benzoyl peroxide, as per your expert’s recommendation.
  2.  Relax – Your functions have started; you have so much going on! But don’t worry about anything; just have fun and enjoy all the attention. If you do get some time slip away for a nice relaxing massage and enjoy the best days of your life.

  1. Sleep – No treatment in the world can compensate for a good night’s sleep – the reason we call it “beauty sleep.” We know you’re jittery and excited all at the same time but to look fresh you have to have a good night’s sleep.
  2. Things to Avoid – For your big day tomorrow avoid caffeine as it dehydrates you and makes you look sallow. Also, the 2 things you should try and avoid the most are drinking and smoking as nothing can do more harm to your skin than these two.
  3. Makeup Ready – Do not take any chances with new makeup brands or products at this point. Make sure your makeup artist uses the same products that she used in your makeup trial before the wedding.
  4. Food – This is the time when you tend to eat the most amount of junk food. However, make sure when you’re not in your functions you eat healthy and at regular time so as to not disturb your routine. Also drink a lot of water and keep yourself hydrated at all times.
